First, I would like to be cremated when I die. I would not want a funeral, but a memorial service a few weeks after my death. In preparation for my memorial, I would like my wife (or nearest surviving friend or relative) to separate my "ashes" into two parts. The first part would be mixed together with the cremated remains of all of my dogs, then spread at several of my favorite places. I would like the remainder of my ashes ground into a very fine powder and mixed into a batch of cookie dough and baked. I would then have my cookies served to those attending my memorial service (with or without their knowledge...I'm not sure which). I think it would be an honor to have my friends and family internalize me--kind of like nourishing their souls and satiating their grief.
