Advice to Tim at age 20
1. When you photograph Mom for class, don't only take pictures of her raking the leaves. Stop telling the story of her life as hardships and failures. Photograph her laughing with you and your brothers at dinner. Photograph her making a funny face in the morning. Photograph her being excited to go to garage sales. Instead of turning her into a martyr, show her for who she actually is: the most wonderful beautiful woman you know.
