Advice to Erica Simon at Fifteen
It was the start of high school, going somewhere new, not knowing where to go or who to talk to. It was something different, never have been there before. The advice i would give myself back then is to stop worrying. I believe that i felt that something was going to happen, and i would be stuck. You are at that age, you can either make or break yourself in high school, and who knew what i was going to be. Going to a new place, not know anyone, i was the new one. As i look back, it wasn't that scary, but i did not know that at the time. The advice that i would say is,
1. When you walk into those doors on your first day of high school, there will nothing that you need to be afraid of.
2. The teachers that you thought were going to be scary became push overs who you are annoyed to see in class everyday.
3. The other fellow students that you wanted to impress you become your friends, you did not have to, because in the end, they would either like you for who you are, or not like you. It was simple like that when it came to other fellow classmates.
4. When it comes to boys, forget about them, all you need is your friends, they just make you cry and upset you. There is more to life then them, and you can do better.
