Advice to me when I was 12, 16-25.
1. I know your going to really miss your life back in Tokyo, so take it upon yourself to read literature in Japanese, and realize this is new chapter in your life. Don't disown who you are, write about your experiences. Go out and have fun, meet people who from various backgrounds and try the unordinary. Dont go back to NY if you dont want to be in the U.S, stay in Paris where you feel at home. Mom can take care of herself, she's not going to feel any more secure from you being geographically closer. You can find work there, so be creative and trust what facinates you. Pay extra attention to things or people that you like. Continue drawing, don't stop. Drawing is a way out of the mundane dimension.
2. Stop using sex as a way to grasp love or a way to open peoples hearts. Sex is not the way that you want to understand who someone is, or their culture, it will not make any promises only disease. It wil not reveal who you are either, trust yourself. Lastly, youre not too old to practice how to sing.
