Advice To Mike Robin in his first half of highschool
1. Build up your study skills. You want to be able to get into college, so good grades REALLY are important. You'll get a high ACT score, but the grades are just horrible.
2. Dont invest SO much in that one cool friend you met this year. You'll end up feeling left behind.
3. Never, NEVER use the word "akward". ever. Don't use it, don't believe in it, don't feel it. If youre alone with someone, rather than thinking about how akward it's going to be, actually just be there with them. Some of your most quality time is time spent 1 on 1.
4. Sophomore year, she's pretty, but she's got nothing going on up there, this is the one girl who you are completely expected to feel "akward" with, just stay away..
5. Don't cry in front of your Dean, you guys will become tight buds later on, he'll excuse you from detentions ALL the time, and its just sorta weird that he's seen you cry. Actually maybe you should cry, maybe thats the reason he's so cool, cuz he's seen your change. But just don't cry sophomore year. Freshman year you can cry, but sophomore year youve got to walk into that office like a new kid on campus. The cool, bad kid kind that the dean favors. Also, she won't be so pretty in a year, So it's a waste of time.
6. Stay close to Amaro and Van Roeyen, these teachers care.
7. Brush your teeth way more often./stop missing orthodontist appointments.
8. Don't smoke weed with Matt that one time... or that second time. he gets carried away...it's probly not your fault, but better not to fuel the flame
9. Stay close to the two asian kids youve been friends with since Jr High. One will be your best friend who you'll fight to hold on to, and the other one need a good friends, so be one.
10. Visit Joyner more.
