things i wish i knew when i was thirteen:
1. you will not die when you get your period.
2. its ok to believe that narnia is real, and vaginia is not a dirtier word than penis, no matter what adam tells you.
3. start figuring out now that although boys will hurt your feelings, girls arent always better.
4. maybe the reason that laurel yells at you is because you call her pizza face. fifteen is a hard age (you'll figure this out soon enough) and you'll spend the next ten years wishing you'd been nicer to your sisters. really.
5. never go behind the science building with boys after lunch, even if they say that all your friends have already done it.
6. when dad says you need to toughen up, it doesnt always mean you have to feel bad about crying when you kill a bug. someone is going to appreciate that eventually.
