Advice to Zachary R at age 12
1. Get into relationships with girls named Elina and Quinn. Believe that they will totally work out for the rest of your life. Only when you are absolutely proven wrong should you give up.
2. Don't put lens caps in your shirt pocket and forget about them later.
3. Work really hard on the things you're excited about. Flunk the classes you hate.
4. Don't get too hung up on the mystery admirer in Native American Architecture class.
5. Find out about huge libraries, public access TV, and other free things now.
6. Work more on your children's book than the poster for University Theatre, they will screw you out of weeks of your life.
7. Don't hang out with Emily and friends under a tree at night on the University of Oregon campus in spring of 2005.
