8TH GRADE/FRESHMAN YEAR:
1) cherish every single second you have with your mom. you will wish that had asked more questions, listened to more stories and told her more about the stupid, petty things that were going on in your life instead of assuming you shouldn't.
2) stop preparing for what your life will be like without your mother. i know it seems like the way to do things, but it's not. nothing will prepare you.
3) channel your anger into creativity.
4) understand that nothing that is happening is the end of the world.
SOPHOMORE YEAR:
1) you know that weird feeling you had for hours before brittany got hit? somehow use that to tell the future and don't let her cross the street at that particular moment. a second earlier or a second later would be ok, but not right then.
2) i know you're in love and you want to spend every second with him, but spend more time with your friends. balance is key.
3) spend more time being artistic.
4) be more open with your psychiatrist. don't play it off like you're just venting but it's all ok. you KNOW that you aren't ok.
5) understand that nothing that is happening is the end of the world.
THE PAST FEW WEEKS:
1) do you believe in what you have with him? do you believe that you fit? OF COURSE YOU DO. you do more than anything else in the world. SO DON'T LIE TO HIM AND BETRAY HIM YOU IDIOT!
2) use this "alone time" to really get to know and come to peace with yourself. paint. draw. write. be. create. be your potential.
3) get to know heidi. she seems wonderful and finally your dad is happy. embrace that. maybe it'll change your life.
4) understand that nothing that is happening is the end of the world.
AN HOUR AGO:
1) take a deep breath knowing it's ok that he just slammed the door in your face. it's ok that he didn't look through the window as he sped out of the driveway. you can't expect more from him right now.
