Advice to Natali at age fourteen:
1] Shoplifting is a bad idea. Don't do it again. You will get arrested and the item you stole will cost a lot less than everything that happens afterwards.
2] Don't speed so much. Speeding tickets are money you don't want to spend.
3] Work harder at school sooner. It's the only way you'll get out of Kansas City. Dropping out of school wouldn't hurt you if you could convince Mom and Dad that you could home-school yourself and finish school quicker.
4] When you break up with Brad for the first time, keep it that way. Dragging it out will only hurt you more in the end.
5] Amy is crazy. It doesn't matter what you do, she is just crazy. And when she is mad at you, everyone will be mad at you. So don't ask them to forgive you, because they won't. And don't expect Molly to be nice to you either.
6] When you start looking at colleges for the second time, don't overlook the Midwest. Eugene Lang will not give you the money you need, but Antioch will, so don't wait two extra terms to start there.
7] Don't spend so much money. Start dumpster diving sooner. And stop hoarding so much junk. It will be impossible to get rid of it, even when you move down the street, when you out of the house for college both times and when Mom and Dad get divorced.
8] Switch your sequence so you won't be all alone in Boston while your boyfriend is having fun on campus with his friends. Half way through co-op you will become suicidal and end up in another psychiatric hospital.
9] Do not kiss Chris. Do not tell anyone about it. He is a weirdo and it was cause a rift between you and the only girl you've been best friends with for a long time.
