1. Don't let Joanne control you. Getting advice from her is okay, but really, she shouldn't decide who comes to your birthday party! Laura is nice and you've been friends with her for longer; she should come
2. Keep talking to her, right up until she leaves. Even if you don't really want to hang around with her anymore, just a "Hello" in the corridor would be okay
3. Stay friends with Charlotte. She turns out to be really cool.
4. Don't, don't, don't make friends with Amy. She is really superficial and irritating and no match for your superior intellect.
5. You don't have to say "Yes" to every guy who asks you out, you know. Just wait until someone you really like comes along. Believe me, he will.
6. Even though you don't know the word for it yet, you're bisexual. Going online and pretending to be a guy is a stupid way of finding out if you fancy girls. You're going to get entangled into a situation where a girl is infatuated with you (She's pretty messed up) and she thinks you're a bloke. Very bad idea.
7. In fact, don't pretend to be anyone else online, at all.
8. Jesse is a total idiot. Don't talk to him.
9. Try not to be such a nasty bitch to your mother. I know she's intensely annoying sometimes, and she can be over-protective, she's only doing it because she loves you more than anything and wants to keep you safe.
10. Make friends with Fern faster. Just because other people don't like her doesn't mean she isn't really great and hilariously funny. She's very sweet and is your best friend for ages.
11. When it comes out that you have been into Ross for months and months, jump in there immediately!
12. Be less insecure. Its really infuriating for everyone who loves you, and it will partially cause the downfall of you and Ross.
13. Tell him you love him the second it's true
14. Kiss him whenever you have the urge.
15. Tell him how gorgeous he is.
16. He is more insecure than he lets on.
17. Don't trust that evil woman. She's deceptive, and she will hurt him so badly and cause so much grief that his life is hell for quite a while.
18. You have no idea what he is going through yet. Don't be so quick to judge. His life is really awful at the moment and he needs your help. You're still one of his best friends.
19. Don't be jealous of Ross and Alan. When he said he is using him, he really is telling the truth, and it won't last very long.
20. Don't spend virtually an entire day crying on Alan. Go home after you start crying the second time, and even if Fern won't come with you, go anyway. It's too hard for you and you shouldn't be there.
21. When Alan offers his hoodie to you, don't take it because you'll never get the chance to give him it back and it'll clutter up your wardrobe for months until you get the heart to throw it away
22. Resist the temptation to go out with Callum. You're not ready yet, and you two are not compatible. He's a good friend, though.
23. Realise how lucky you are.
