advice to airynn, aged eight:
1- know right now that your asshole father will cheat on mum and leave you very soon. stop trying to be cool with him. hate him. it's okay.
2- have fun with your ponies while you have them. china will die and you will stop riding for a while, but the next horse you get will be phenomenol and will teach you so much about life.
advice to airynn, aged fourteen:
1- don't go to ireland with your asshole father. he is lame and stupid and it would be cooler to go with mum.
2- when your asshole father yells at you in the airport to "hurry your ass up, what is taking so long?" tell him to shove it up his ass. just taking it like some shy little kid only perpetuates his skewed image of you.
3- when you move to georgia, stop hating mum. she is awesome and wonderful and has been dealing with a lot of unneccesary shit from your asshole father. she loves you more than you will know, and pushing her away this summer is terrible.
4- don't develop that eating disorder. it is such crap and will screw you over for at least the next 5 years, even if you think you've recovered.
5- also, don't run away with chris. he will rape you and it will so deeply scar you that relationships will be hard for a while.
6- do become better friends with julian. he is friends with your boy, philipp, and he is the coolest person you'll meet for the next few years. he has a girlfriend, but it's totally worth it.
7- philipp isn't dangerous. he's nothing intimidating or great or larger than life. stop being afraid of him and instead challenge him. let yourself love him, it could be neat.
8- dont sell your grey mare. you may think it's best, but don't. sell faye instead. you will miss apples for the rest of your life.
9- love yourself how you are. you grow up to be stunning, amazing, whole, and fantastically gorgeous, so stop worrying. you have an awesome last year of high school and make great friends and meet the best college history teacher ever.
