Advice to Kristen, age 14
1. Why are you friends with Elly? She's mean to everyone and self-centered, and she will be responsible for you hating music for several years. Don't let her do that to you.
2. Blah, blah, blah, high school sucks. Get over it. It will be more fun if you get involved and you know it.
3. Stop dressing like a boy.
4. Take up softball again. You'll enjoy it and you get to wear knee socks. It will be a good way to get out your frustration.
5. Upperclassman are not scary. They really aren't.
6. Take journalism this year if possible. If not take it next year. Don't keep putting it off.
7. Stop being ashamed of anything about yourself.
