Advice to Keegan at age 18:
1. You don't need that credit card. It's ok to live paycheck to paycheck when you're 18.
2. After you take that collections call in the stock room, ask Dad for the $300 you need to pay off that credit card. It's really not a lot of money, but it can certainly balloon into something worse. Something that stays on your credit report for a long time.
3. Think about getting more involved in school. You'll look back fondly on high school and wish you made more of it.
4. Quit dating people for a while and spend more time with your girlfriends.
5. Take out student loans and apply to Tulane. You'll always wish that you had.
6. Tell mom that you need her to stick around more often and give you a curfew.
7. Ask mom if you can get a dog. It will make you more responsible and Kyle can walk it while you're at college.
8. Keep in touch with Shelley, Laura and Lea.
9. Wear swimsuits as often as you can. You look great in them.
Advice to Keegan at age 20:
1. Don't go out with him. Seriously. He's not even that cute and he's a real asshole.
2. Don't switch your major from Broadcast Journalism. You will always wish you could be a foreign war correspondent.
3. If you're bored with school, join the Peace Corps. You'll fall in love before you get the chance to.
4. Your Dad means well. Tell Mom it's not nice to speak poorly of someone she used to love.
5. See as many shows as you can while you have such boundless energy.
6. Tell Mom it's not okay to have a secret marriage.
7. Quit smoking. It's not attractive and eventually you'll have to struggle with quitting.
8. Start exercising, so it becomes a habit. You won't always be able to eat Cheetos, Dr. Pepper and cupcakes for dinner without consequence.
9. Don't go out with him, either. He's nice, but there will never be any sparks.
Advice to Keegan at age 25:
1. He really is the one, so stop worrying that you're missing out on something.
2. Find a ridiculously fun job that pays next to nothing in cash, but offers tons of experience. You're not making such great money at that desk job anyway.
3. Quit working through Spring Break. You get to do that for the rest of your life when you graduate.
4. Be thankful. You're going to be just fine.
