Advice toÊ Kathleen in May of 2002 at 19 years of age:
1. pay more attention to Allison and Megan. You are going to end up living with them, and traveling the country with them. Megan will become less shy and will get over 10 piercings, Allison will fall in love and nearly become a scientologist. You will love them both.
2. Jeremy is a fuckwit. Do not worry that he doesn't love you right now, as he will fall in love with you soon, and you will do everything you can to get rid of him. Be kind, but in all seriousness, do NOT introduce him to the family. They will question your judgment for YEARS because of him.
3. Spend more time in Durango, and more time on the climbing wall. You'll spend many summers there in the future, and wonder why you didn't discover them earlier.
4. DO NOT FORGET to erase the sketches you made of shadows on the wall. This will cost you your deposit.
5. September is going to be a hard month. Tell someone when the shit goes down.
6. The tingling in your arms and legs is serious. You will be in the hospitalized in six months and be very scared. You will be surprised and mildly relieved when the doctor tells you there is something seriously wrong physically.Ê REMEMBER THIS: You are NOT losing your mind.
7. You will be okay. More than okay.
