Advice to Jordan at 18 years of age:
You're just as good as those you seeked acceptance from. You shouldn't look to others for self-confidence, that's your responsibility, not theirs. They might try to make you feel like you're below them, but don't buy into their poorly made images of glamour and perfection. It's all in your head. You'll spend alot of time regretting the power you gave them, if you don't empower yourself. Stop reading about others lives and start being interested in your own. Do what you want, not what you think they want. In the end, they're not happy with themselves either, so no use pleasing them when they can't please themselves. Same goes for you. It's never to soon to start spending time with the ones who love you, instead of trying to be loved by ones you don't know and will probably never meet. And will soon forget.
