advice to johann at eight years old
1. Do not insist on getting brown furry boots for winter. Soon after, all the other kids will have unlaced 'kodiak' boots. You will find yourself in muck-luck hell all alone. The other kids will not be kind.
2. However much Kahlua may taste like chocolate, it's not.
3. Jumping off the roof of the back porch with a kite is not the same as hang-gliding.
4. Don't throw snowballs at Debbie Andersen. Try walking her home instead.
