Advice to Jo at 18
1- Don't get so worked up that Beth Ann's mom wants her to live with you after you graduate. Her mom trusts you and this is the only way Beth Ann will be able to move away from home. Plus, she'll be back in Hickville in 18 months and won't leave again. You, on the other hand, will travel and live around the world. Relax, this will not ruin your life. It's not worth the crying jag.
2- It's silly to avoid taking the SAT. Don't be scared, you're a bright girl and you test well. If you take this test now you can go to college and just be done with it instead of tackling it 20 years down the road.
3- A little sunscreen would not be a bad idea.
4- Do not ask Anthony to give you a ride to and from practice because you live near each other. He expects something in return and because he's a stupid teenage boy that can only be one thing. He's a thug, avoid him.
5- You are prettier than you realize. That said, if you knew how pretty you actually are you'd probably turn into someone you wouldn't really care for. So, know that you're pretty, but keep it in check.
