Advice to myself at age 15
1. Don't let your parents or your sister tell you the type of person you are. They have no idea what you're capable of.
2. Don't date Rich. He's not good for you and he's a bully. You'll end up hurting one of your best friends in the process and she'll bring it up for the rest of your life.
3. Don't be so negative. Sure, your life sucks right now, but in three years you'll be off to college growing into the person you were always supposed to be.
4. Ask your sister to stop picking on your little brother. He had nothing to do with all of those horrible things that happened to her as a child.
5. Stand up to your dad more.
6. Tell your mom to stop laughing at your feelings because her laughing invalidates them.
7. Your father's berating will continue into adulthood. Realize that this is his problem, not yours.
8. You are an amazingly loyal person. Realize that many people in your life will view this as a weakness and will try to manipulate and take advantage of the person you are. Avoid these kinds of people and you will be a much happier person.
9. You will have some incredibly loyal friends. Treat them like gold.
10. Tell your sister that the way she treats you is pushing you away from her.
11. Don't be afraid to wear those funky shoes or clothes. You are unique and when you get older, you'll realize that.
12. If you believe in who you are, so will everybody else.
13. Teach your siblings everything you know, and then take the time to learn who they are. They'll become some of the most incredibly wise people you'll ever meet.
