1. Leave Ottawa and don't tell "W" where you are going.
2. Go to Toronto and apply to get into Ontario College of Art.
3. Get a good therapist.
4. Commit yourself to being an artist.Paint or draw every day.
5. Don't get that dog, Buck, from the pound. He's dangerous.
6. Don't go with that hairdresser to look at his farm. What were you thinking?
7. Dump your boyfriend. Stop having relationships with abusive men, give yourself some time and then try dating a woman, someone your own age.
8. Go to art galleries every week. Go back and see that show at Isaac's again.
9. Go to coffee houses, listen to music, go to plays, events, exhibitions, happenings.
10. Continue writing poetry and work on getting it published.
11. Wear underwear.
12. Read some books on Buddhism.
13. Design and get a tattoo of a dragon.
