Advice to Elizabeth Egstad at sixteen
1. In high school participate in activities that make you happy, not the activities that please others.
2. Just because you choked once on stage does not mean you should stop singing all together.
3. Have confidence in yourself, all the time even when others tell you different.
4. Alex and Molly are not your friends, they are using you.
5. Just because Molly made a mistake does not mean you should take responsibility and help her through the pain. It was her stupid decision, and in the long run she will screw you over terribly, do not waste your time.
6. Date Jake, he makes you happy and brings out the best in you.
7. After years of dating, do not be a pushover, although Jake will cheat on you, best friends is the result.
8. Take every "bad situation" and use it as a learning experience.
9. Listen to your family, they're always right.
10. Don't base your college education on what your friends do, go where you want, and major in what you want, you will be much happier in the long run.
