Advice to Elisabeth at 12
1. Do not play tennis with Emma-Jane at lunchtime and DO NOT under any circumstances befriend her. She is poison and will make your high school years torturous.
2. Stop being so scared about whether you're going to "turn out gay". You will. It's not actually that bad, even kinda cool.
3. You have the potential to become smart, cool, funny and cute. Stop wasting your time trying to impress catholic school losers.
4. Yeah, your parents really are that weird. It's character building.
5. Fuck doing homework and fuck getting good marks. You only need three C passes in 7th form to get into an arts degree, and that's not a problem.
