chelynne- you are 13, i am 23, so as your older self, allow me to give you some advice:
1- do not be jealous of the way your friends look, what they have, things they do; appreciate them for who they are and how they compliment you as a person. remember, they feel just as insecure at 13 as you!
2- stop smoking now! true, some people do think your cool when you light up at 13, but alot more people will admire you for the making such a tough decision at your age, and those are the people you should worry about impressing. ps: in 10 years, cigarettes will be $5 a pack.
3- most importantly, do not waste this time fighting and resisiting your parents love. you are hurting them in ways that will still haunt you a decade later. besides, they are going to inevitably become your best friends anyway! wake up and realize how lucky you are to be theirs.
