Advice for Gabriel at age 28:
1. You have been growing so weary since everything started to come apart: please do not fret too much about all the incongruities. Worrying a wee bit with some caution about love and war is to be kept well within reason.
2. Remember that you really do not like people lecturing you about how or how not to lead one's life. So many people will attempt to console you and tell you that you are not a failure. Perhaps you ought to take some time and listen to your heart.
3. It is really annoying when someone always mentions that you worry too much about the world, other people's opinions, and the comfort and care of humanity. At the end of the day, loving as much as possible and extending compassion, care, and decency are who you typically tend to be... if everyone falls off the planet, you still have some parts of your soul.
4. The years are going to only provide you with more challenges, more moments that will rip and tear your soul; Seattle will endeavour to break your spirit and Portland will do everything to break your heart. Romance is NOT going to save you or anyone else.
5. There is a long list of cities that you still wanna visit.
6. Having had the opportunity to fall in love once or twice in one's lifetime ought to keep you partially sane for the next decade. The thirtysomething years for you shall be full of very suspicious and unyielding hearts and boys that are only try to break your heart with the usual sex on the brain instead of romance in the soul..... it might be good to remember that sacrificing most everything that keeps a person vital and whole is not ever going to be enough for any of your ambitions.... this journey is only going to become steeper.... ... all of your dreams will melt into fierce ambitions that you WILL have to be strong for, that you WILL be lonely and yearning for, and you WILL be unloved for....
7. Make no concessions for stinky cheeses or stinky boys.
8. Stinky boys that sweat too much will try to ruin your desire to reach London before 34!

10. Stop having sex with anyone and everyone that Òpretends to careÓ. It's a foul ruse and ploy and only breaks the sweet girl within when they reject you.
11. Avoid emotionally unavailable men!
