-When you graduate don't follow Michael to Roswell, go home to puerto rico and spend some time with your family
If you go to Roswell anyway:
- don't worry so much about finding a job right away
-don't stress about the Thrifty Nickel job or the Waittressing job, in fact, don't take them, stay in the studio and make art, you won't have to leave the residency until December and your dad is paying your loan for one year
- Make your own art, help him if you want to but don't put yourself under obligation
-it is not his fault
-you should follow your heart, don't worry about what the other artists think of you, don't think about new york, forget what your teachers said, don't try to please everyone, forget about the art world
-don't worry so much about money
-trust him
-give yourself space, and the courage to be alone, travel on your own, drive to white sands, go to Taos, California, Arizona
-go where you need to go, both of you want to be free
