Advice to Caitlynn at fourteen
1. I know you want to be different, but there is a difference between being unique and isolating yourself. Throw away all those black clothes and stop being negative about yourself.
2. Kate and Emily are bitches to you right now, follow your gut and break away from them. But when you do, don't listen to Briana and just stop calling them. They deserve respect too, no matter how badly they treat you.
3. Brandy will be your best friend. She will be there for you when you really need it and she will be very important to your happiness. Stay close to her.
4. I know you feel insecure about the fact that no boys ever give you attention but when they finally start, don't take whatever comes along. When you get that job at Target and Chris starts showing an interest....STAY AWAY. All he wants is to get some ass and it will only hurt you and make you feel even more insecure in the end.
5. It's going to be hard for a while because your friends will start distancing themselves from you because of boyfriends and alcohol but keep your head up. In the next few years you will meet the best friends you have ever had and ever will.
