Advice to 16 year old me
1. You're dad is going to be okay.
2. Treat your parents better. When you wise up they are going to be your best friends. At 25, there will be no one you'd rather spend time with.
3. No one that you know right now (excluding your parents) will be important to you in a few years. You will move and finally find friends that share your interests. You will no longer be "the weird one."
4. Do NOT have sex for the first time with Brant. Yes, he's cute, but it is going to be aweful and he will expect you to be his long distance girlfriend, you are not ready for that. If you must do it, however, DO NOT do it in the woods. What the hell are you thinking?
5. Just admit that you like Billy. Don't listen to what anyone else says about him.
6. Just because a guy is in a band or owns a skateboard does not mean he's worth your time.
7. Learn how to play the accordion.
8. Treat the unpopular kids like royalty; they are going to be the ones you'll want to hang out with when you're grown.
