age 6: 1. don't let Denny carry all your library books while you walk on ahead of him.
age 7: 2. say NO or just get up and walk away. It isn't okay for that to happen. Don't let it happen again.
freshman year: 3. thank Denny for standing with you at lunch on the first day of school. you know he didn't have to do that.
sophomore year: 4. try harder on the volleyball team. go to practice. go with Mike A. to homecoming, but go with a group. don't ask John M. to the winter formal. he might be a nice guy but he's just not into you and he will humiliate you.
junior year: 5. don't toilet paper Erin's house. you'll seriously hurt your ankle and won't be able to play volleyball next year, starting the pattern of not exercising and gaining weight. don't go with nancy and those two random guys to lakewood park.
senior year: 6. don't let mom tell you which picture to choose for the yearbook. you know which one looks most like your personality, so go with that one. don't let Mike talk badly about Dad. it's disrespectful. find another job besides McDonald's. it will only cause you to gain weight and feel badly about yourself.
freshman year, college: 7. don't be such a dork. dress a little nicer, and try to be a little more outgoing.
sophomore year, college: 8. don't agree to live with Sandy, Theresa, and Donna. either stay in the dorms or find other roommates. they are not for you and they think they're superior.
junior year, college: 9. work harder in school and focus less on Nick. that summer, don't get back together with Nick. you only do it because you think you need a boyfriend.
senior year, college: 10. pursue the relationship with John V. he might be the one, and he's clearly interested in you or he wouldn't have flown up to see you. try to stay friends with Iza.
