advice to alissa spangler at 15
1. don't worry about moving back to the states so much. you'll make friends quickly and they'll think you're cool 'cause you've lived overseas.
2. write to your sister more often. she's much more fun now that she is not around so much and she writes great letters.
3. at margit's birthday party, you'll feel as though you have the choice between dating shannon and mark. go with mark, if he'll have you. shannon turns out to be a scary republican football player who makes out with your best friend.
4. stay in better contact with your dad. you are mad at him now, but it is better to tell him and get it over with than letting it steam for many years.
5. don't be so insecure. you are cuter than you think- and than you'll ever be again!
6. be patient with your mom. she is going through some huge stuff right now and could really use your support. i know you are busy being 15, but be nice.
7. spend more time with your grandparents. they won't be around long enough.
8. pay more attention in school. couldn't hurt.
9. stay away from chris. do not go up to his room. i don't care how cute he is, bad things happen there. seriously.
10. don't be afraid to be the loud, obnoxious chick that you are. it is who you are and people who understand that are worth it.
