Advice for Alex at age 15:
1. Don't be so shy and lacking in confidence as there is absolutely no reason for it and you are just as good as anyone else.
2. There is no need to be in awe of the girls part of the 'in-crowd' at school, it will turn out that they really don't have much substance to them and everything changes when they leave school.
3. Talk more easily to other people, you don't have to say something amazing and profound for others to want to talk to you.
4. Play tennis more instead of daydreaming that you will be Wimbledon champion.
5. Don't worry about not knowing what career path to take as you'll have a variety of interests and you won't want to limit yourself to one particular type of job.
6. You can't expect your mum to be perfect so don't let her infuriate you so much.
7. Don't take everything so personally and have a laugh about yourself more.
8. It isn't important that you've never been on holiday abroad as you'll make up for it from the age of 25.
9. Other people aren't talking about you or laughing at you, they are more likely to be thinking about themselves and their own problems.
10. You are going to have one of the best summers of your life so don't take anything for granted.
