ella: because i know everything dad
me: when did that happen?
ella: i always knew. why do you think i smiled all the time?
me: i thought there was something different...
ella: just what i did for you guys.
me: we miss you baby girl
ella: i know. i miss you guys too.
me: you know how much you gave me?
ella: you let me know
me: really?
ella: i have to say, mommy told me more often.
me: no way!
ella: c'mon dad, someone has to give you a hard time
me: why did we only get 10 weeks? it doesn't seem fair.
ella: don't be selfish daddy. some people never get to talk to their little girls.
me: but some people get lifetimes.
ella: and you got my whole lifetime. now smile daddy because you always told me to smile. that's what i will always tell you.
me: i know, turnabout is fair play. every one says hi. well, they say a lot more but i'll let you talk to them when you make the rest of your calls.
ella: daddy, (emphatically) i love you.
me: (crying) i know. i love you too. bye angel baby.
