Boy: Hey. What are you doing later?
Me: Nothing, like I always am.
Boy: Good. Listen. I like you. You like me. It's ridiculous for us to avoid this any longer.
Me: Thank god. Why did it take us so long?
Boy: Who knows? It's not like we don't talk every night.
Me: And beg each other not to sleep.
Boy: (laughs) True. (beat) So when I woke up this morning, I realized what we were missing and hopped on the first train to Jersey. Call you when I get to the station?
Me: Of course.
Boy: See you soon.
Me: Not soon enough.
