When I die I want to be cremated, but also have a small ceremony on a hill where the grass is as green as can be and the skies as blue as can be. Not in a church. I want all my friends to be there and all the ones that play instruments are going to play music. Then my brother Neal is going to dig through my notebooks and scrapbooks and find a song or poem I wrote and read it aloud. Preferably something from my age now (23). At some point, they will play Radiohead's "How to Disappear Completely" and something from Tool's Lateralus album. I also want a big canvas where my brother Will and any friends that want to join, can paint whatever they want to all across it. The gathering will end with everyone sharing a memory of some drunken time we had together where I probably made a complete fool of myself. This way, it wont get too serious. As for my ashes, I leave that up to my brothers, parents, and friends to decide where to spread them. But a few ideas I have in mind are:
- The bench at that cliff in Rome where my bro and I hung out
- Throughout Downtown Los Angeles
San Francisco
