So I have always planned on donating my body to science. I kind of always wanted to donate it to a medical school or a university. I know this is selfish and stupid but when I found out about 90% of these bodies are used for cadaver dissections I changed my mind. I had to go to one for my anatomy class last year and I was truly disgusted in many aspects. The body looked like and alien with brownish, moist, raisin-y skin that could be peeled off in thick layers. The bandages around the head and hands were seeping and the smell was horrible. I know that these bodies are used for educational purposes and I think that's great but I'd rather not have a room full of college students passing around my uterus and get nauseous over it. So I compromised with myself. I am planning on becoming a biology teacher. When I die I want my body to be made into a skeleton model and have it donated to whichever school I taught at the longest or my favorite school (since hopefully I will be old and retired from teaching when I die... but who knows?).
