Instructions for my sister upon my death:
When I die, have my body cremated. Then, I want you to drive to the Brazos River with my ashes in a coffee can. Dump my ashes into the muddy water and leave the can for the high school boys to shoot at with their twenty-two rifles. Drive home smoking a cigarette, even though you quit long ago, while listening to Leonard Cohen's 'Like a Bird'. Tell our parents I finally got religion just before I passed. Tell them you're confident I'm in Heaven. I want you to keep three pictures of your choice from the small box in the guestroom closet. Burn or sell everything else but my world-band radio. Take any money I have when I die and any proceeds from the sale of my things and divide it equally. Give it to our nieces.
