When I die, I would like my lovely female friendsies to dress in weightless, flowing red, orange, or yellow summer dresses (because I will die comfortably on a warm summer evening in my sleep), and my gentle male companions and family members to wear colors that compliment the girls. I want them all to drive me to the vast, open sea and lay me into that boat named Gabriel with a bunch of daisies in my hands. I want to wear a white dress!
I want everyone to take a very deep breath, think one last good thought about our adventures together, and release all feelings of sorrow or pain through their fingertips as they push my boat out into the sea for me to drift away at peace. All the while, I am hoping that my loved ones will be singing "Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Brothers or "Sea and the Rhythm" by Iron and Wine.
As my little boat wanders out to the horizon, I hope that my friends and family and anyone who just happens to pass by will drink wines from Sonoma and sing Rilo Kiley songs and dance and be merry just because they will be happy knowing that I truly was friends with them until the very, very end.
