When I die, I would like to be cremated, and I want my ashes to be shot off with fireworks. I have two reasons for wanting this wish to be carried out.
First, my birthday is July 4th, and I've always loved having a fireworks display on my birthday.ÊI could do without the cake and presents, but my day is ruined without the fireworks. I can't think of a better way to leave this world than to be shot offÊin a fantastic fireworks display.
Second, death is a sad occasion.ÊI don't mind people being sad when I die. But I do want peopleÊto remember what a fun-loving person I was also. Instead of people just kind of standing around sharing memories, I'd much rather have all my loved ones gather to watch a glorious fireworks display. I mean, come on!ÊHow can you be sad when you're watching fireworks? I just don't think it's possible.ÊI'd rather have people remember me as leaving them with a smile on their faces.
I first heard about people doing this a few years ago. I have actually looked into it, and there are companies that specialize in this service. So far, IÊhave notÊfound a company near where I live that would do this, but I do intend to put it in my will,Êjust to make sure my wishes are carried out.
