Is one man's trash another man's treasure? Go through someone else's trash can or dumpster (only one). Find something you feel is a treasure. If nothing you discover is a treasure to you, choose something from your experience to transform into a treasure. This could be in the form of an object, a photo, a story, or any other format you feel is appropriate. Document your finding or creation.

Example:

I found a bag paper recycling trash in a bin outside of my building. As I pulled out each item, it was as if adding a character trait to this mysterious previous trash-owner... a beer drinker who seems experimental with brands (with a preference for interesting graphics)... has a cold (nasal spray, cough syrup, kleenex)... likes frozen asian dishes (indian, chinese)... eats meat and dairy.... likes to see jazz live (ticket stub)... and DRAWS MONKEYS ON PAPER WITH PENCIL AND THEN CUTS THEM OUT. This was my treasure!
