In October I was in a car accident that left me in the CWJ hopital for four days. I switched rooms durning my stay, and my second room was shared with a lady named Diane Brown. Though all I really wanted to do was hit my morphine drip and sleep, I felt compelled to keep Diane company. She's an older lady who has been struggling with ovarian cancer on and off for years. My first night there she kept apologizing for making so much noise when she got sick was concerned that she was keeping me up. I simply smiled, took some of the flowers I'd recieved from family, and made her an arrangement of her own beside her bed. I tried to sit up with her, get her water to sip on, and keep her distracted from her pain as best as I could for thr duration of my stay.
