The day after I graduated from eighth grade, I was over at a friend's house when I asked her if I could pet her dog. She said yes, so I bent down and as I was petting its head, it lunged up and bit my upper lip completely in half, starting at my nose and continuing all the way through. I had to get thirteen stitches and go back for reconstructive surgery a couple of years later to remove scar tissue.
