This is a scar that a dear friend of mine has had for about 5 years now. She has always had relationships that were combative or violent. She lived with her boyfriend for about 3 years and they were abusive to each other however, he usually instigated the arguments and fights. This particular incident started when she found out she was pregnant with twins. She told him about it, being apprehensive because she was excited but nervous about telling him and nervous about having children at that point. Well, I guess she was right to be nervous about telling him, because when she did he asked her if the babies were his! This escalated into a huge argument that ended with her trying to hit him. She missed when she tried to hit him and instead hit and broke the window behind him and in the process cut open her forearm. She got to the hospital in time, but it was a very serious injury and took months for it to close and years for the skin to heal to this point. She is no longer with this guy, thank God. However, there is another scar that is unable to be seen with the eyes that was caused by this traumatic incident, my friend lost her twins. It is a huge emotional scar that will never heal.
