This scar is a result of a terrible car accident. The car was going about 75mph and skidded into an I-beam of a highway sign. Shredded shrapnel tore its way into Karin's left shoulder. It created a very unique pattern of keloid scars. This is not the only scar as a result of this accident. The ER surgeons gave her a 15 inch gash all of the way down her stomach and an 8 inch incision on the other side of her back. These are only some of the other scars she obtained in order to save her life.
