I got this scar a few summers ago. Our dog Sammy, who we've had for about ten years, has always been really fond of running free. We used to have to be extremely careful every time a door was opened because he would jet out and run away. Whenever he ran, we'd try to chase him, either by foot or by car. Once, we almost ran him over when we were trying to find him at night in the car... which only made us more worried because we learned he runs in the middle of the street. So one summer, he got away from me when i was taking him for a walk. I started chasing him by foot in the park. He was across a huge, deep concrete arroyo, so I was trying to cross it as quickly as possible. I lost my balance on the way down the slope and faceplanted in the bottom of the arroyo, giving myself a nice bloody elbow. I was pissed off. I got a rush of adrenaline and managed to run up the other side, pick up the dog, and carry him all the way back home. Meanwhile, my arm dripped blood on the ground, but I hardly noticed until I was back home. The scar is still with me today!
